On the north side of Teatro Nacional you will find Plaza de la Cultura. In the heart of downtown, the plaza is a central meeting place where you will almost always find a crowd watching jugglers, clowns and musicians.

Underneath the plaza are the Gold Museum and the Tourism Office. The Museum has one of Central America’s largest collections of Pre-Columbian gold and is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10am to 4:30pm.
